About NKG Bloom Project:
In line with the above, Ibero Uganda in collaboration with several partners has set up a Farmer Financing Unit (FFU) with the view to improve access to fertilizer input for coffee farmers in Uganda. The objective of the project is to improve farmers’ livelihood through boosting coffee production and better integration of coffee farmers in the coffee export value chain.

Job Summary: The Depot Committee Interns will support the NGK Bloom Project through is intervention; depot committees being local farmer organization’s in-charge of supporting coffee farmers, (for instance through gathering coffee from member farmers and find better markets for the farmers). The Depot Committee Intern will implement the FFU strategy for increasing fertilizer and cash advance portfolio by ensuring quality data collection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collect and organize coffee bulking data at the Depot Committees.
· Enter the organized coffee bulking data into Field Buzz
· Mentor and train Depot Committees on how to use Ibero Proprietary Software
· Offer technical assistance to applicants and active farmers.
· Guide and inform farmers on the fertilizer and cash advances.
· Propose updates on policies, manuals and tools relating to the coffee bulking system.
· Send regular reports on coffee bulking in the various Depot committees.

Key Result Areas: Collect, organize and ensure timely entry of coffee bulking data at the depot committees into proprietary Ibero (U) ltd mobile systems

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should possess a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-level) or higher.
· Agricultural knowledge in particular that relating to Coffee growing in Uganda is an added
· Ability to use an advanced mobile operating system.
· Ability to work under minimum supervision.
· Ability to be a good team player.
· Demonstrated capacity to document processes and outcomes.
· Good use of MS word, Excel and computer literate.
· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to spend up to 90 percent of work time out of office for field work.
· Ability to learn how to use various technologies as need arises.
· Ability and enthusiasm to ride a motorbike with a valid riding permit is an added advantage
· Fluent in English and Luganda
