ECW Field Officers – Teach A Man To Fish

Job Summary:
The ECW Field Officer will lead on the implementation of the School Enterprise Challenge in 10 ECW primary schools in the selected settlements. This will be done whilst ensuring that program activities are conducted according to the agreed work plan and budget. This position will be based in the selected refugee settlement and will require some travel to Kampala Head Quarters on a quarterly basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Programmes: 100 %
· Lead on marketing, selection, and sensitization of up to 10 ECW primary schools in the selected refugee settlement.
· Work with Master Trainers to plan, coordinate and execute teacher and partner training.
· Lead on follow up and technical support for business planning and implementation in assigned ECW primary schools
· Build and maintain relationships with ECW primary schools such that they are bought into and engaged with the School Enterprise Challenge Program.
· Recruit, manage and support a team of Data Collectors to ensure ECW program activities are implemented in line with the approved work plan.
· File weekly progress reports to ECW Program Manager and participate in the weekly catch meetings.
· Represent Teach A Man To Fish at networking events within the refugee settlement.
· Submit accurate and timely cash reconciliations to Finance and Admin Officer along with receipts for all expenditures.
· Support ECW Program Manager to ensure M&E implemented to plan, ensure project learnings documented and disseminated, ensure project design improved in relation to learnings.
· Liaise with ECW Program Manager to ensure highest levels of safeguarding and CP at schools, partners and within our team, report any issues as per TAMTF guidelines

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicants for the Teach A Man To Fish ECW Officer jobs should hold bachelor’s degrees in Social Sciences, Social Work, Commerce, Business Administration, Development Studies, Adult & Community Education, Business Computing, Accounting, or related fields
· One to two years’ experience in a Field Officer/Program Assistant role or similar role
· The ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding Permit (Class A) is a must.
· Candidates must be from the host districts (Hoima, Yumbe, and Lamwo).
· Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
· Understanding of basic business concepts, including business planning and business management.
· Ability to use common software packages including Word, Excel, Skype, E-mail
· Proven ability to problem-solve, multi-task and work independently
· Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a small team
· Willingness to travel by public transport and work flexibly
· Proficiency in any of the local languages spoken in the area like Kakwa,Aringa,Lugbara, Swahili, Luo or Runyakitara.
· No criminal record (to be evidenced by a letter of good conduct from Interpol)

Desirable:
· Experience in business planning and business management processes
· Experience of teaching or training
· Experience of gender mainstreaming gender equality and inclusion in development programming
· Experience working with education or child protection programmes in a humanitarian context.
