Irise International is a hybrid organisation working to develop and implement a sustainable solution to Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). Our charity arm develops resources and delivers training on menstrual health and hygiene, reproductive health and gender roles. Our social enterprise manufactures and sells affordable sanitary products through establishing local supply. We work closely with multiple partners to integrate menstrual hygiene into existing work and achieve long term change.
Job Summary: The Enterprise Program Manager will primarily manage the enterprise team, currently consisting of two Sales Representatives and one Sales Assistant, working in three areas (Mukono, Jinja and Wakiso) and collaborating with seven partners over the next 6 months to establish local access to sanitary products. The incumbent will also collaborate closely with the education team to deliver health education and raise awareness about menstrual hygiene in order to generate demand and ensure safe use of products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· In charge of managing Irise’s Sales Representatives including writing their weekly plans and approving their time sheets and expenses
· Mentoring and training Sales Reps and supporting the training of entrepreneurs and suppliers
· Keeping the Sales Record Keeping System up to date and sharing regular reports with the senior management team
· Responsible for meeting with national level clients to discuss sales and partnerships
· Meeting with partners to discuss collaboration, finalise agreements and offer ongoing support
· Provide support in the planning and implementation of relevant awareness raising events and marketing initiatives
· Actively contribute to the planning and strategy development for the Enterprise Program
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should be a Graduate with two years of relevant professional experience
· Some managerial experience in a professional capacity
· The Enterprise Program Manager should ideally be a young professional with some experience of management and an interest in social business to take responsibility for their own team and to help shape a young program.
· Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking skills
· Competently able to use Microsoft Office and Google Drive without assistance
· Ability to use or learn to use Customer Relationship Management software (currently Bitrix 24)
· Previous exposure and experience compiling data and writing reports
· Previous experience living and working in East Africa
· Prior experience working in women’s health, menstrual hygiene or health education in East Africa is desired
· Applicants with sales experience have an added advantage
· Previous experience of social business in East Africa is desired
· Previous experience of start-up’s or growing young organisations is an added advantage
· Previous experience managing and liaising with multiple partners and clients
Terms and Conditions:
· Salary of 1.5 million Ush per month
