InterAid Uganda Limited (IAU) is a non-governmental humanitarian national organization established in 1988, and duly registered with the NGO Board and NGO Forum. IAU is actively involved in programs geared towards the protection and improvement of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and rural areas in Uganda and in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused on its thematic areas of Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food Security, Health (HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health), Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and good Management and Governance systems.
Job Summary: The Executive Director will mainly be responsible for the development (in collaboration with the Board of Directors) and implementation of the strategic direction of the Organisation that addresses all stakeholders and create a competitive environment that is conducive for the achievement of the organization mission.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a University degree Social Development, Management and Leadership. Possession of an advanced university degree (masters) is a MUST.
At least ten years of senior management and leadership experience in a humanitarian environment.
Excellent track record of success in a senior level position.
Proven experience in managing and implementing multi-sectoral programs.
Highly analytical, strategic thinking, advocacy and decision making
Significant experience in proposal writing
High level of integrity
Good stakeholder management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Good reporting skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
