Export Sales Manager – Aikan HR Consultants – Kampala

Job Summary:
The Export Sales Manager will mainly sell products or services to overseas customers. They research potential markets, conduct personal selling visits, organize sales promotions, appoint agents and distributors and negotiate sales contracts. Some might also arrange the transport of goods and the collection of payments. Hours are often long and unsocial.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement all export strategies and activities to ensure adherence to all project requirements and prepare all export documents within required timeframe
Create SWOT Analysis for each targeted country
Achieve the Sales targets set by management
Execute the sales strategy set by the Sales & Marketing Director
Design sales strategies according to customer requirement in different countries..
Participate in all trade shows and ensure all activities according to customer specifications, and assist business partners to design efficient distributing strategies for customers and ensure compliance to all countries’ regulations.
Evaluate all reports submitted by sales and marketing staff and recommend appropriate changes related to each country
Prepare effective business plan for all products to achieve required product volume and profit.
Organize all market plans to suit all customer requirements and monitor all specific transactions of all customers .
Monitor all existing and prospective markets in Africa and assist to identify appropriate business opportunities
Monitor all export sales transactions and review all customer response for all orders and payments, resolve all customer issues.
Manage all banking logistics for export activities and prepare required documents, prepare special labels for brands and ensure adherence to all shipping requirements
Negotiate and monitor export rates and services to reduce operating costs and increase profitability
Administer all export of goods and ensure compliance to all organizational policies and procedures and monitor all financial ,currency, transactions, and manage all communication with export authorities for all required countries.
Prepare and organize all documents required to travel, after assessing and deciding on the best way to travel in effective way.
Deal with agents to select best marketing & promotions campaigns after involving Sales & Marketing Director
Align with other Peer HODs in Sales , Marketing, and PR

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business/Sales Marketing
A minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a Sales and Marketing role with at least 2 years at a managerial level.
Must be proficient in either Swahili or French
Ability to pursue high standards of excellence in line with agreed policies and procedures.
