The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) seeks to end pediatric HIV/AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs. We are a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 15 countries and at 7,000 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already infected. Today, because of the highly successful work of the Foundation and its partners over the last 25 years, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States and new infections in children have declined by 58% worldwide. EGPAF Uganda Country program is currently implementing a number of projects in partnership with various donors.

About USAID RHITES Project:
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) implements the USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Health Services in the South West Uganda Project (RHITES) whose aim is to increase the availability, accessibility and quality of integrated health services including HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment; maternal, neonatal and child health services; family planning; nutrition assessment, counseling support; malaria prevention and treatment and other primary carer services.

Job Summary: The Fleet Officer will provide an efficient and professional fleet management service to meet the requirements of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. The incumbent will also provide timely, proactive, and fleet operational related advice and support to the Foundation leadership and Employees.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure that the Foundation vehicles are maintained in good running conditions by having vehicles serviced and repaired on schedule using reputable prequalified vendors
· Work closely with the Technical Director, ensure that the weekly travel matrix is produced by every Thursday and shared with the entire team.
· Ensure that all Drivers receive and understand the travel matrix of the week on time.
· The incumbent will be in charge of daily tracking of the Foundation vehicles using the Vehicle Management Software and generating necessary reports.
· Using the Vehicle Management Software, to ensure that Monthly, Quarterly and Annual vehicle performance reports are produced and shared with management on time.
· Ensure that the vehicle fuel smart cards are used appropriately and that fuel replenishments are done on time.
· Manage and mentor the Foundation’s drivers and ensure that their performance meets the expectations of management. Carry out mid-year and annual performance appraisals for staff in time
· Regularly report all incidents involving foundation vehicles immediately upon occurrence
· Hold bi-monthly meetings with drivers and report key challenges and or concerns to management in a timely manner.
· Ensure Foundation policies particularly those relating to vehicle use are adhered to at all times.
· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Office Administrator.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Fleet Officer should preferably hold an Ordinary Diploma in Logistics and Fleet Management
· At least five years’ experience in Fleet and Logistics management or in a related field.
· Previous experience in automotive engineering and able to use automotive diagnostic equipment, proficiency in the interpretation of defects and hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of vehicles.
