Fundraising and Communications Officer – Kisubi – CoRSU

About CoRSU:
CoRSU was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-government organization in Uganda after extensive consultation with various stake holders. It is a Ugandan initiative which was encouraged and supported by CBM with the main aim of expanding and improving the rehabilitation services for children and people with disability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will take lead in the identification of opportunities for funding, publicity and networking through the internet, physical visits and media.
Make presentations to potential donors and make relevant follow up
Provide regular communication with potential and existing donors through reports, updates, tours and responding to inquiries.
The jobholder will also develop publications including Newsletter, fliers and brochures
Develop ideas for merchandising to raise awareness and funds for the hospital
Actively engage with the Public and other institutions to create and maintain networks.
Update the donor database
Organize and participate in fundraising and public events.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Degree in marketing, communication or its equivalent from a recognized university
At least two years’ experience in raising funds from corporate donors
Two years’ experience in organizing fundraising events and campaigns
Good IT and computer proficiency
Ability to multi-task
High ethics and integrity
Excellent communication skills
