General Support Officer – Kampala – ZOA

About US:
ZOA is an International Non-Governmental Organisation working in Uganda since 1998. Its mission is to assist in rebuilding the livelihoods of peoples who are affected by human conflict or natural disaster. We operate in 15 countries in Africa and Asia. Our community based programme in Uganda concentrates on Food Security, Livelihoods/Economic Development, Water Sanitation and Hygiene. Vocational Training, Education and Peace Building and is implemented in close cooperation with local organizations and local government.

Job Summary: The General Support Officer will provide support in procurement, filing and stock keeping.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer support in the procurement of items
Tasked with the supervision in timely, cost effective deliveries of orders to the programme area
Ensuring structured filing of ZOA documents
Assuring good quality storage of goods and proper record keeping
Supporting MGA in maintaining employee files and the HR filing system
Liaison of NGO licenses, staff insurances, NGO board

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should hold a certificate or diploma in Administration or any other related field.
Prior exposure and experience in procurement
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Word, Excel, database management
Proven skills, in administration high-level communication and writing skills
Self motivator, having the ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to work in an innovative environment where plans are developed fast and open for change
Able to give transparent accountability.
Excellent spoken and written English
