Grants Manager – Kampala – National Center for State Courts

About NCSC:

Founded more than 40 years ago by the leaders of the U.S. courts to deliver on the promise of Equal Justice under Law, NCSC partners with donor agencies, host-country governments, and non-governmental organizations to create more effective justice institutions and promote the Rule of Law.

About USAID NCSC Project:
The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is implementing the “Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity & Peace” (SAFE Program) funded by USAID. USAID-SAFE is a five-year development Program that seeks to strengthen the Government of Uganda’s capacity with respect to peace building and conflict mitigation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of the Program’s grant activities;
Provide information and give support to grantees
Responsible for monitoring and oversight on grants compliance with USAID and NCSC regulations and policies;
Actively monitor, manage and compile grant management reports for all USAID SAFE funds;
Update, maintain and develop an effective filing system for all grants awarded;
Identify procedural or training issues for the grantees to improve the implementation and quality of reported data;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should have five or more years’ experience as a Grants Manager
Past experience with USAID technical and financial reporting requirements
Strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail
Show commitment to ethics in grant-making
Strong public speaking and training experience
Expertize working with computer software
