Job Summary: The Grants Officer will ensure adequate stewardship of agency resources and sound financial reporting in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, CRS policies and procedures, local laws and donor requirements. The primary responsibilities of this position are Sub Recipient Financial Management, Budget maintenance and monitoring, Donor and Month End Reporting. The position will mainly offer technical financial support to the partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify Partner liquidations and process advances to partners.
The incumbent will reconcile Partner accounts in Sun System.
Keenly analyze budget comparison reports for UGANDA Keeping Children in Health and Protective Families to ensure all expenditure is in line with the donor approved budget. Make corrective action as required
Prepare budget templates, forecast and input budget data in e-budget for the project.
Work in liaison with the Deputy Grants Manager to prepare donor reports and submit on time
Support programming Staff with project work on all financial aspects.
Conduct sub-recipients assessment and monitoring by visiting partners and offer finance support as well as doing on site review of records.
Actively participate in partner capacity trainings, staff orientation and training.
Actively participate in month end financial reporting.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Deputy Grants Manager and /Management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Grants Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration with a bias in Accounting (BBA-Accounting)
Computer literacy skills with competence in Sun System, MS Word, MS Excel
Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time and good team builder
