Job Summary: The Head Human Resources will act as a strategic partner for steering Human Resources strategy formulation and implementation, succession planning and human resources policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As Team leader of all recruitment processes, ensure systematic targeted attraction of talent while ensuring quality of recruitment metrics—length of time to fill the post, quality of candidates, cost per hire, etc.
The incumbent will also monitor all departmental training budgets while ensuring relevant expenditure and savings.
Develop general support function course content and provide training materials.
Recommend executive coaching for Heads of Departments when appropriate.
Oversee and drive the performance management process of IMG. Ensure compliance, participation and effectiveness of program as implemented by all Heads of Departments and staff. Identify and develop star employees; oversee end of probation reviews, mid-year check-ins and track personal improvement plans.
Guide on Human Resources structure for IMG effectiveness and efficiency. Partner with other stakeholders on countrywide talent initiatives. Promote teamwork and accountability among all employees.
Provide expert advice to Heads of Departments on reviewing and updating of job descriptions periodically as roles evolve. Manage all specialist-related issues in terms of negotiations of rate and financial analysis between in-house and part time Specialists.
Oversee compensation plan of IHK while including benchmarking initiatives to ensure competitive pay for Specialists and administration roles. Spearhead salary review surveys and keep track of all benefits and entitlements to employees such as medical, airtime, transport allowances, etc.
Exercise emotional intelligence to make informed decisions whilst acting as a change agent to drive business forward and support employees through transitions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Human resources, Business Administration, Industrial and Organisational psychology
At least five years of experience at managerial level.
Demonstrated ability handling confidential and/or sensitive information.
Prior experience with databases, preferably an ERP or HRIS system.
Experience working in or knowledge of healthcare systems an added advantage
