Health Logistics Officer – Kampala – BRAC International

About US:
BRAC, one of the largest Non-Governmental Development Organization in the world, working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements integrated development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will receive all deliveries from the suppliers and maintain stock registers while well up-dated.
Maintain central stock position and prepare challan for proper delivery to various destinations (BRAC field offices).
Ensure timely delivery of country office stock to the branch offices to ensure health products to all branches (zero stock out at central as well as branch stock).
Prepare stock maintenance to ensure quality of products/ goods are intact without damage or loss.
Ensure transparency, accountability and integrity in the entire supply chain (logistics part).
Preserve and ensure necessary documentation for audit trail and overview of the logistics and ensure proper distribution of materials.
Perform any other duties.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Diploma in procurement and logistics (or supplies chain management)
At least two to three years working experience in maintaining large store/stock, preferably health products.
Professional certificate in related field will be of added advantage
Possess excellent organizational, record keeping and maintenance skills.
Possess the ability to manage and work as a team and handle large stock associated logistics preferable health products.
Good English both verbal and written communication skills.
Possess the ability to work under tight schedules and with minimum supervisions.
