We are in forestry, timber processing and manufacturing environment within a rapidly growing multi-national setting.
Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the complete human capital management function for the local business in Uganda. This position provides the ideal opportunity for professional exposure to the functioning of a multi-national business where the Human Resources Department plays an integral role in the achievement of the business plan with its strategic objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute agreed functions and projects on time and within budget while keeping the CEO fully informed of progress
Manage approved budgets accurately and continuously effect cost savings in operations
Build and grow employment relations and prevent court cases with a proactive labour relations strategy
Ensure that all salary pay runs take place on time and within 100% accuracy full and consistent application of the HR Manual
Offer loyal and faithful support to the CEO
Lead by example and act with impeccable integrity
Successfully recruit and engage highly trainable and effective employees
Significantly contribute to the development of a highly engaged workforce
Compile and submit weekly reports with passion and precision
Drive the annual HR Plan to ensure the business unit reaches its annual business targets
Expeditiously follow through on all projects in order to constantly improve the results of regular external HR audits
Add value for the shareholders and instill investor confidence in the way your department support the business.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The incumbent should be an ambitious, dynamic and assertive team player with excellent people management skills is needed in this position to lead by setting a clear example.
The successful candidate should be a mature individual with a “hands-on” approach and experience in a corporate environment.
Possess excellent labour relations, talent management, financial management and numerical skills are essential.
Past experience in payroll, recruitment, administration and performance management would be essential.
Innovative achievements would be advantageous on the CV of a candidate with unquestionable integrity.
