About USAID ENVISION Project:
RTI International is implementing the ENVISION Project in Uganda which is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and aims at providing assistance to national NTD control programs for the control and elimination of seven targeted NTDs: lymphatic filariasis, trachoma, onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, and three soil-transmitted helminths (roundworm, hookworm, and whipworm). ENVISION contributes to the global goal of reducing the burden of targeted NTDs so that they are no longer a public health problem in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for the management, administration, coordination and facilitation of HR processes and operational support services for the Project. The HR Officer is responsible for transparent implementation of HR Strategies, effective delivery of HR services and management; interprets and applies HR policies; rules and regulations facilitate internal procedures and process solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR issues. The HR Officer promotes a collaborative, client- oriented approach and contributes to the maintenance of high staff morale. The incumbent provides support in the formulation of solid HR strategies and implement Project human resources initiatives to attract, develop, motivate and retain the most suitable talent throughout the projects and facilitate successful performance in management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate for the USAID ENVISION Project Human Resource Officer must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, International Development
· At least ten years’ related experience or an MA degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Prior experience of working on a US government funded program is required.
