About US:
PostBank Uganda Ltd is a government owned bank regulated by Bank of Uganda under the Financial Institutions Act, 2004. The bank focuses on the mass market with operations spread across the country.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure proper corporate Records Management by ensuring an organized, logical filling system in order to support timely and sound decision making backed up by accurate and authentic information.
· In charge of identifying the most appropriate records management resources, annually planning and budgeting for the information and records management function, contribution to the overall budget and strategic plan, managing and monitoring information management budget and resources.
· In charge of standardizing information sources throughout the bank or and all its branches.
· Enabling appropriate access to information / records and preventing access by unauthorized users.
· Responsible for protecting the integrity of the bank’s information assets / records in order to maximize frauds and eventual loss of funds by the bank due to forgeries.
· Ensure adherence and compliance with governing laws of the financial and regulatory institutions in order to protect the bank, staff and its customers. Ensure that the legal obligations are met for the creation and retention records and advise staff in records creation accordingly.
· In charge of formulating policies to guide proper records management.
· Draw comprehensive cost effective annual branch supervision and monitoring program for checking branch records management status, resource needs, regular training of staff and space plans.
· Write progress reports, monthly quarterly and annually including branch findings reports and monitor subordinate staff response and fulfillment of requests daily to ensure quality and timely service.
· Open sort and distribute incoming requirements from departments and branches to section staff.
· Read and analyze incoming request from branches, sections and departments with problems in relation to customer identity, determine their significance and plan on the course of action.
· Render support in research, research materials and provide findings when called upon by management.
· The incumbent will advocate for, develop and maintain up to date information/ records management technology.
· Devise and ensure the implementation of annual retention and disposition of obsolete records.
· Plan for section training, supervising subordinates, appraisals for self and subordinates as well as leave management.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager Information Resource Center.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate for the aforementioned PostBank career opportunity should preferably hold a University degree in Information science and Librarianship or related field from a recognized institution
· At least three years or related work experience in the Archives management
· Proven skills and team player.
· Excellent organizational skills
· High degree of integrity and ethical standards, confident and able to work independently
· Working knowledge of bank procedures as well as bank products and services is desirable
· Results oriented and able to meet deadlines.
