About MSC:
The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) is a linchpin of Government of Uganda
(GOU) micro credit programmes under the Rural Financial Services Strategy. MSC facilitates access to affordable, sustainable and convenient financial and Business Development services to active and productive Ugandans. MSC Ltd supports legally established entities engaged in the value chain namely; production, value addition and marketing enterprises. MSC offers affordable credit through its network of 13 regional offices spread throughout the country. It has so far served clients in 110 districts in Uganda. It gives priority financing to support the agricultural production value chain namely; production, value addition and marketing. Besides credit, MSC provides capacity building to its clients including SACCOs, Cooperative Unions, MFIs and SMEs to enable them manage their organizations sustainably.

Job Summary: The Manager Business Services and Collaboration will be responsible for Business Development Services to clients and Collaboration network of the Company to foster access & proper utilization of MSC services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· The incumbent will initiate policies, procedures and guidelines for accessing business Development Services to clients and provide collaboration efforts to the Company.
· Build and maintain strategic linkages and create synergies among stakeholders to support production and value addition.
· Coordinate and monitor activities under the collaboration framework to avoid duplication of roles and resources.
· Identify possible sources of funds through networking with government, development partners, collaborating agencies, and money markets.
· Work closely with Head of Department to plan and develop appropriate products for MSC through Market research and innovations.
· Mobilize communities to access products and services offered by MSC in partnership with the collaborating agencies.
· Drafting and ensuring adequate implementation of work plans and budgets for the BDS and Collaboration functions.
· Initiate, coordinate and facilitate periodic institutional appraisals, for purposes of providing business development services through designing & implementing the institutional development interventions for the clients.
· Evaluate the relevance and the content of the training material of the trainees and appropriateness of the delivery methods employed by the training service providers.
· Plan and coordinate the delivery of appropriate training for the potential and existing clients.
· Responsible for developing and implementing an information system for collaboration framework.
· Manage the performance of the employees.

Key Performance Indicators:
· Organisational strategic linkages and synergies among stakeholders.
· Increased funding from donor agencies and Government.
· Compliance to MSC procedures and guidelines amongst clients.
· Information system across stakeholders
· Utilisation of MSC services across the regions.
· Management, performance and development of all staff reporting to the position

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Degree (Honours) in any of the following: Economics, Business Administration or Community Development, Mass Communication, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration or any other business related field.
· Possession of a post graduate diploma in the business related field is a must.
· Possession of a Master’s degree in relevant field is an added advantage.
· At least five years’ experience in planning, Microfinance management, organizing and conducting training, product development innovations, resource mobilisation plus partnership and collaboration efforts particularly in the field of finance service sector of which two years should have been at middle level management.
· A certificate of managing training and development function is an added advantage.
· Self driven with high sense of responsibility.
· Ability to meet deadline with minimal supervision.
· A creative, innovative, assertive and dynamic personality.
· Computer literacy skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Age: Between 30 – 45 years.
