Job Summary: The Manager Human Resource Business Partnering will support the Centenary Bank in the implementation and monitoring of the HR Business partnering framework in the respective area of operation in line with the HR strategy, Bank policy and wider Bank’s business strategy

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with line management and staff to identify current and future staff / HR business needs, and design appropriate HR & Organisational strategies , plans, and interventions to enable the Bank achieve its short and long term business plans.
· Serve as a liaison between HR and the areas of operation to provide HR solutions and coordinate the implementation of the HR agenda in the business.
· Execute, support and monitor the implementation of the bank’s performance management system as well as implementation of the poor performance management interventions in liaison with line managers.
· Technically support organisational change by ensuring that appropriate structures are in place as a means of defining jobs and aligning the growth strategies of the Bank with the staffing plan and budget.
· The incumbent will also assess the level of talent, coordinate and implement succession planning and talent management strategies to support the delivery of business requirements in relation to the bank’s current and future competence, knowledge and skills needs.
· Keenly monitor and review Bank HR metrics (staff productivity and efficiency) in the area of operation in order to define people risks and engage line managers and stakeholders on corrective actions.
· Responsible for developing and implementing retention strategies to enable the bank retain its critical talent as well as maintain overall attrition at acceptable levels.
· Coordinating the staff cost and head count (workforce planning) budgeting and monitoring in the respective area of operation in line with the staffing budget guidelines.
· The incumbent will also support staff engagement agenda of the bank in order to ensure implementation of the relevant initiatives to have a motivated and productive staff base and deliver the bank’s employee value proposition.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in the field of HR Management, Social sciences, Organisational psychology or other relevant degrees.
· Possession of a post graduate or professional qualification in the area of HR Management is an added advantage.
· A minimum of three years of practical and progressive experience in an HR management role at supervisory level in a reputable organisation preferably in a financial institution or FMCG.
· Practical experience in HR Business partnering and in using the balanced score card as a performance management tool is an added advantage.
· Business acumen in terms of ability to understand the business and area of operation
· Possess a high degree of integrity
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Possess the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build relationships
· Thorough and proven understanding of best in class and contemporary HR practices
· Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and demanding environment
· Creative and innovative with a customer centric disposition.
· Care / compassion/ counseling skills, particularly in assisting line managers with problems or any difficult situations referred by the team and staff.
· Skills in coaching, mentoring and negotiation
· Excellent analytical skills sufficient to set and monitor budgets and contribute to business planning and assessment decisions.
· Ability to liaise with other HR and external Bank / Market stakeholders as needed while executing the HR BP role.
· Best practice interviewing skills.
· Possess the ability to think conceptually and strategically “out of the box” in order to come up with applicable HR solutions to business needs.
