Job Summary:
The Manager Marketing Communication & PR will develop and execute comprehensive marketing, communication and public relations plans for the Bank in line with the Bank’s Objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for the Bank in line with the Bank’s strategic Objectives.
Design, review & monitor the distribution of the advertising & promotional items/ programs of the bank in line with the bank’s objectives.
Coordinate the design and update of the Bank’s products and services on various media platforms in liaison with responsible Departments and according to the Bank’s products, specifications, and Business plan & policies.
Provide technical support to departments in identifying training needs with regard to the marketing function & sensitize staff on new and existing products & services in line with the marketing program.
Review performance and development needs of staff in line with the bank policies.
Promote, protect, monitor the brand of the bank in the media space, and ensure a favorable rating of the bank in the media.
Monitor regularly the media space including social media and other electronic and print media and ensure positive presence and value for money
Coordinate and manage the various service providers offering marketing, branding, PR and communication services on behalf of the bank.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Communication field.
Postgraduate qualification majoring in marketing will be an added advantage
Five years of experience in marketing and communication obtained in the financial sector
Three years of working experience in Brand management
Excellent self-presentation skills
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Leadership and management skills.
Ability to develop the strategy and activity work plans for the unit.
Have the ability to establish and maintain good relationships with key industry players.
Bring assignments to a conclusion and within set deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of the Commercial Banking business environment.
Good personal presentation.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Possess self-drive and be a self-starter.
Creative and adaptable to change.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Ability to conceptualize issues
Flexibility and willingness to travel upcountry
