Job Summary: The World Vision MCHN Officer will provide leadership to community development assistants in planning and follow through the implementation of agreed upon MNCH strategies and maximize integration of synergies as project is implemented

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project Management and Coordination:
Initiate and work with line WV staff and district partners to technically interpret the MNCH technical approaches included in the GHG proposal to facilitate implementation of key activities in the project work plan.
Work in liaison with the MCHN coordinator and the BCC specialist to define areas of MNCH and facilitate their integration in GHG MCHN and WASH programming.
2. Project Monitoring and Evaluation:
Build Coalition with other actors to support districts in implementation of MNCH strategies including the Malaria and Nutrition programming, community systems strengthening and Health Advocacy
Working with districts, conducts support supervision in the GHG districts and provide technical assistance to ADPS implementing MNCH activities.
Ensure World Visions institutional learning and experiences in MNCH activities feed into GHGs program development
3. Manage project finances and asset in line with WV policy: Manage, supervise of community development assistance using performance based management approach
4. Network and Collaboration:
The applicant will identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with other actors to support districts in planning and implementation of MNCH strategies including the Malaria and Nutrition programming, community systems strengthening and Health Advocacy
Timely submission of quality weekly and end of month reports
Compile and submit the most significant stories of the project on monthly basis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the World Vision MNCH Officer vacancy should hold a Degree in Nursing, Nutrition, Public Health or any related discipline.
Past exposure and experience in working with the Ministry of Health and has in-depth understanding of the workings of the Ministry of Health and Local Governments
A minimum of two or more years of technical health project management experience in programming, preferably focused on maternal, newborn and child health.
Past experience in working with communities with good knowledge of Public Health System and structures
Strong policy analysis and advocating skills
Proven ability to work in a facilitative and participative approach.
Superior communication skills ability to coordinate people at all levels government partners, donors, communities and staff with diplomacy and collaboration.
Appreciation of gender related issues
Good budget management skills
Be a mature Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities
