Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – Joint Medical Store

Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a Church founded private not-for-profit organization whose mission is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related healthcare services, and training of assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices. It was established in 1979 as a joint venture between the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) and the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB).

Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support JMS in the oversight of the development and implementation of systems for planning, monitoring and evaluation of the company Projects, document and share information and knowledge for informed decision making by Management and the Board. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing information relating to progress on implementation of activities as reflected by the indicators and targets and developing strategies and tools for effective monitoring.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The M&E Officer should hold a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Demography or any other related Social Sciences.
· Working knowledge of data processing and statistical analysis software i.e. MS Access, STATA and SPSS, and proficiency in database development and maintenance mandatory
· Proven experience in developing and managing an M&E system, research and data management for a pharmaceutical or related organization
· The applicant must have actively participated in previous M&E activities.
· Proficiency in database development and maintenance.
