Chemonics International Inc. is certified consulting company that has partnered with local and international organizations to promote social and economic change around the world for overe 40 years. Chemonics is implementing the Feed the Future Uganda Commodity Production and Marketing (CPM) Activity. CPM is implemented through a five-year, USAID-funded contract that began in March 2013. CPM increases the wealth and long-term prosperity of rural families in 34 Feed the Future focus districts by using innovative methods to increase the quantity and quality of beans, coffee and maize that they are able to produce and sell.
Job Summary: The Monitoring and Impact Evaluation Manager will support the USAID CPM activity in implementing high- profile behavioral change and trend analyses, impact assessments, outcome mapping and related work that contributes to our overall communications and learning strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· The incumbent works in liaison with the Monitoring acid Impact Evaluation Specialist to create, analyze, monitor, and evaluate information and lessons learned from implementation of CPM.
· The job holder will also review Activity interventions and strategies and provide guidance to the team on the best practices for implementation.
· Analyze Activity achievements in relation to the contractual obligations and provide an updated understanding of results from the information analyzed.
· The Monitoring and impact Evaluation Manager is responsible for managing the integration of outcome mapping concepts and Geographical-Information System data into the implementation and monitoring and evaluation processes.
· The incumbent will support the Communications and Learning Office to provide CPM’s four regional business teams with analysis and recommendations so that they may target interventions that increase the quality and quantity of maize, beans, and coffee produced by Ugandan families.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should hold an MA in an area related to economics or behavioral science (BA and five years’ experience can substitute for MA)
· A minimum of five years’ experience in the private sector directly related to areas such as analysis of consumer behavior, relationship marketing, social marketing, and behavior change with at least two years’ management experience.
· Working knowledge of advanced data analysis techniques, GIS mapping, and behavior change analysis are required
· Fluency in both verbal and written English
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to varied audiences
· Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively interact with a wide range of people from farmers to large exporters
· Solid consultative, facilitation and presentation skills
· No prior donor experience is required
