Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Kampala – ActionAid International

Job Summary: The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will develop and implement systems for monitoring and evaluation of all AAU’s programs and share information and knowledge, in line with ALPS, national arc local rights programme strategies and monitoring framework

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collect, collate, analyze and prepare monitoring and evaluation reports
· Build the capacity of staff in Participatory Monitoring arc Evaluation (PM&E) in line with ALPs, New M&E requirements and CSP
· Offer technical support in the implementation and development of Key Performance for the national and local rights programmes
· Provision of support in the M-Mid Term Reviews of National Monitoring Framework in line with AAI/U requirements and CSP
· Offer technical support to AAU and partners in monitoring reporting and documentation in relation to key learning best practices, theory of change implementation, models governance processes and outcome change realization.
· Offer technical support and participate in the PRRPS for Units, LRPs and Partners in line with ALPs compliance requirements
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager Impact Assessment and Shared Learning

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant for the ActionAid Monitoring & Evaluation Officer should hold a Degree in either statistics, Demography, M&E, Social Sciences or equivalent
· Additional training in M&E, Data Management, MIS is mandatory
· A minimum of three years’ experience working in an NGO log frame Approach and other strategic planning approaches in planning, monitoring and evaluation.
· Working knowledge of applications of participatory, qualitative and quantitative, monitoring and evaluation methods
· Working knowledge of data management/MIS
· Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
· Good research skills
· Good report writing and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently
· Self-motivated and pay attention to detail
· Good networking skills and teamwork with the ability to steer up working groups
· Knowledge management skills and ability
