Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage nurseries that grow eucalyptus trees for sale to trade or retail customers.
· Manage agricultural or forestry operations.
· Identify plants as well as problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests.
· Tour work areas to observe work being done, to inspect trees and soil conditions.
· Monitor facilities or operational systems.
· Assign work schedules and duties to nursery or greenhouse staff, and supervise their work.
· Supervise employees.
· Prepare staff schedules or work assignments.
· Determine tree growing conditions, such as greenhouses, and set planting and care schedules.
· Manage agricultural or forestry operations.
· Apply pesticides and fertilizers to tree seedlings.
· Hire employees, and train them in gardening techniques.
· Carry out employee training programs.
· Hire personnel.
· Analyze data to inform operational decisions or activities.
· Estimate cost or material requirements.
· Purchase materials, equipment, or other resources.
· Explain and enforce safety regulations and policies.
· Communicate organizational policies and procedures.
· Position and regulate tree irrigation systems, and program environmental and irrigation control.
· Perform manual agricultural, aqua-cultural, or horticultural tasks.
· Inspect facilities and equipment for signs of disrepair, and perform necessary maintenance work.
· Inspect condition or functioning of facilities or equipment.
· Perform manual service or maintenance tasks.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate for the Nursery Supervisor job must hold a relevant bachelors degree
· A minimum of four years’ experience in a forestry company
