Operations Manager – Kampala – BRAC International

About US:
BRAC International is one of the world’s largest Non-Governmental Development Organizations working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia with emphasis on poverty alleviation Programs. The organization implements integrated development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Carry out activities pertaining to operational management, supportive supervision and coordination of daily program activities in the field.
· Actively monitor the program/project implementation at field level to ensure that they are in line with the key indicators as per program need and objectives.
· Provide technical support to the team at field levels such as, Regional Health Coordinators, Area Health Coordinators, Program Assistants and Community Health Promoters under supervision resolving issues and taking administrative actions accordingly.
· Conduct regular field and site visits to ensure effective implementation of the program/ project activities at grass root levels
· Prepare and submit all relevant reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and all relevant program information) and any other reports (as required) to the Program Manager, Health Program on timely manner.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor within the program.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Operations Manager must hold a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health/ Heath related fields.
· At least three to five years’ experience in working with Community Health Programs or Projects with reputable NGOs.
· Must be in position to carry out extensive field visits nationwide where the program/Project is being implemented.
· Skills in reporting, organized, disciplined, demonstrated teamwork as well as independent work ability; and proficient computer skills
· Strong demonstrated work ethics and objectivity (and integrity/ professionalism) record and management of harnessing such qualities among the team working under him/her.
· Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
· Possess strong passion/interest on health work to improve lives of women and children
