Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from health care.

Job Summary: The Pharmacy Focal Mentor will be primarily responsible for all activities relating to proper pharmacy management in accordance with MSF’s standards in the project. The duties will include the organization, implementation and monitoring of the supply chain, monitoring of consumptions of drugs and other medical supplies and proper storage both in the adolescent clinic and decentralized health centers through technical support and training of all staff in supported facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring Orders and Supply:
· Manage the reception and recording (stock taking) of international and local orders
· Regularly report on drug consumptions and medical equipment dispensed according to protocols, updating and following up on unusual ordering or consumption patterns, as well as forecasting future needs
· Follow up on outstanding orders
2. Pharmacy Management:
· Define storage, stock management and supply processes
· The incumbent will develop and ensure the implementation of hygiene and security procedures
· Work in accordance to MSF protocols organize and implement appropriate quality controls and records systems
· Implement proper recording for all goods and stock control (inventories, consumption, overstocking, expiry dates…)
· Monitoring the cold chain
· Team management
· Attend applicable meetings and/or trainings

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should hold a degree/diploma of pharmacy management or nursing related studies, or medical profile Or A degree/diploma in store management
· A minimum of two years certified work experience as a pharmacy manager
· Prior experience in MSF or another NGO, desirable experience in a clinical laboratory
· Computer literacy skills i.e. Word, excel and internet)
· People Management, Commitment, Flexibility, Results, Teamwork
· English is a must. Knowledge of the local language skills (Swahili. Lukonjo) a definite advantage but not mandatory
