Mildmay Uganda is a Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. Mildmay Uganda is also an accredited Institution of Higher Learning offering academic and short courses in health care.

Job Summary: The Procurement Officer will technically support the Supply Chain Manager to oversee the procurement and disposal function of Mildmay Uganda and provide technical assistance to Heads of sections, Divisions, Directorates any dully appointed Procurement Committee(s) on Procurement and disposal matters.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the aforementioned career opportunity should hold a Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management or Bachelor of commerce, Business Administration with post graduate diploma in Procurement & supply management.
Membership of CIPS and is an added advantage.
The applicant should have a minimum of three years’ experience in Procurement and Supply chain management.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of Procurement Planning, Budgeting, and Contract management.
Working knowledge of accounting packages preferably Navision and Quickbooks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in various Microsoft Office packages a
Fluency in both written and spoken English and local language are crucial.
Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
The incumbent must be highly flexible, reliable, and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
Evidence of a non-judgmental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical
