Job Summary: The Procurement Officer will be manage all activities in the Procurement and Disposal Unit (PDU) and handle the procurement of works, supplies and services for all Pride departments in a timely and cost effective manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Process all activities of the PDU purchasing operations according to PPDA/PML’s laid down procurement policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
Guide staff on all individual procurement and disposal methods and practices.
In charge of the preparation of Contracts Committee Schedule of meetings and timely submissions for Contracts Committee approval.
Preparation of monthly reports for submission to PPDA and participate in preparation of quarterly reports to the Board.
Manage pre-bid meetings, bid closing and bid opening.
Responsible for the overall management of procurement data.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement / Purchasing and Supplies Management, Business Administration / Commerce (Procurement and Supplies option) from a recognized institution.
At least two years’ working experience in procurement office or related environment.
The ideal candidate should be a member to CIPS, possess 2 principle passes at A’ Level and credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.
Possess good customer awareness and emotional intelligence skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ideal candidate should maintain confidentiality, have Self- drive and confidence, be Proactive
Possess business acumen
Excellent public relation skills
Ability to multi-tasking
Excellent time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good at goal setting and quality control.
She/she should also be computer literate
Possess the ability to coach & mentor
Skilled in change management
Possess emotional intelligence and advocacy skills
