Product Development Manager – Kampala – National Social Security Fund

Job Summary: The NSSF Product Development Manager will technically support the development and growth of the NSSF corporate brand, services and products, developing marketing and communications programs that promote and support the NSSF brand

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Grow Fund revenues by developing new products.
Build products from existing ideas based on the industry.
Test product viability and define product vision.
Create product development strategy and prepare product development plans.
Guide on market issues like pricing, promotion and positioning.
Carry out market research on customers’ needs and wants.
Generate ideas for product improvement.
Actively participate in creating, launching and implementing new products
Develop methodology to test and measure new products
Oversee future and existing products
Set product objectives, conduct periodic product analysis and report on their performance
Establish product milestones
Manage development of advertising, public relations and marketing communications to meet product objectives
Ensure customer satisfaction goals for each product are met.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The incumbent should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. Possession of a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
At least five years’ work experience
Demonstrated experience in product development and management
Be a strong communicator, have excellent written, presentation, oral communications and interpersonal skills.
Possess strong leadership skills, be able to motivate and influence others.
Ability to think creatively and strategically, have excellent judgment and be able to work in a changing environment.
High degree of honesty and integrity
Problem analysis and problem solving skills
The person should be of high morals and integrity.
Detailed technical knowledge of Fund structures
Working knowledge of related regulatory and compliance issues
Ability to combine initiative with team work
Proven ability to manage product development or change processes.
