Competences of the applicant

Commendable connecting, persuasive/lobbying and marketing skills for behavior change, including policy support
Experience in resource mobilization and proposal development
Vast experience implementing agricultural value chain projects
Good understanding of demand and supply dynamics of agricultural produce (especially cereals & pulses, oil seeds, roots & tubers and livestock) in EAC region
Good understanding of national and cross border trade dynamics in EAC region
Past experience in determining commercial viability of agribusinesses (SMEs) and provision of BDS to SMEs to run their businesses professionally and profitably. Special skill in entrepreneurship and opportunity identification
Previous experience in helping agribusiness SMEs develop and implement business/investment plans. Project management and leadership skills
Please note: Ugandans will be given priority
