Job Summary:
The Project Manager – Access to Adult Education Project leads and coordinates the project planning and implementation, supports active M & E, writes high-quality reports. The position holder is expected to have expertise and experience on adult education leading to community development. She/he has 4 persons to supervise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate project planning and implementation by ensuring that planned courses and activities are arranged, targets achieved within budget and timeframe.
Support and ensure active M & E and data analysis to ensure that adjustments are made to improve quality and effectiveness.
Provide support to Team Leaders in planning and implementation, and ensure adequate monitoring, review of progress and beneficiary feedback to identify corrective actions.
Provide vision and expertise on developing techniques, methodologies and materials used for adult education and updating these to the digital era wherever possible.
Provide capacity building of staff and key stakeholders, create opportunities for learning.
Submission of quality project reports to HQ and donor on time.
Other tasks:
Contribute to FRC Country Strategy paper and support project proposal writing.
Ensure that project plans and implementation mainstreams gender, disability, HIV, environment and climate issues.
Liaise with other adult education related NGOs and government agencies at national level.
Contribute to advocacy and information work.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree in project management / Adult Education / Community Development / Development Studies / Social Studies / Monitoring and Evaluation or another relevant field.
Three years of experience at junior manager level.
Proven expertise and experience on adult education in relation to community development.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and achieve results.
Ability to use standard computing packages and basic M&E data tools
