Job Summary: The Project Manager –GBV will provide overall leadership in the execution of project activities on prevention and response to Gender Based Violence in operational districts in close collaboration with the district leaders, Civil Society Organisations, International partners and Law Enforcement Authorities and other service providers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepares and submits quarterly work plans and cash flow projections for approval by the Regional Programe Manager (RPM).
· Ensures that activity implementation is according to work plan and budget.
· Prepares rand submits periodic quality financial and narrative program reports to the RPM in a timely manner according to the report schedule.
· Represents Child Fund in all GBV related meetings at the district level.
· Sends periodic reports to the district GBV focal person.
· Carries out baseline survey, KAP studies as required.
· Conducts regular monitoring of activity implementation in the field.
· Prepares monitoring visit reports for every visit conducted
· Oversees all project related evaluation activities and prepares reports.
· Prepares, project cash flows projections.
· Mentors and supervises project Officers in the Area according to ChildFund HR Policy and Project Plans.
· Prepares and submits financial requisitions to the RPM for submission to NO in a timely manner
· Keenly reviews all financial requests before submission to the RPM for approval
· Regularly tracks the budget and ensures all expenses are within budget and properly accounted for.
· Works closely with the Regional Finance Officer to prepare monthly reports
· Implements staff capacity building activities during the life of the project and conducts performance planning and appraisal as per schedules.
· Ensures efficient communication with the district and subcounty sub-county based protection stakeholders
· Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the relevant LP structures both at the secretariat and in the field.
· Performs any other duties that may from time to time be assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Gender studies, Project Management and a Post-graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management or other appropriate degree.
· Competence in computer skills is a must (word processing and spread sheets).
· Possession of a Certificate in prevention and response to gender based violence will be an added advantage.
· At least four years’ experience in a similar position, two years’ experience in a supervisory role.
· Prior experience in managing a project budget successfully.
· Demonstrable aptitude for teamwork.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
· High degree of personal integrity.
· Fluent in Lango language, oral and written English.
