Project Officer – Kampala – Right To Play

Job Summary: The Project Officer will support Right to Play in the effective administration of the project and reporting on the outcome to internal and external contacts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Project Administration:
· Preparation of the project strategic plans feeding into the overall country strategic plan.
· The incumbent will prepare and manage the implementation plan of projects.
· Manages community events to promote topics/issues related to their needs.
· Compiles reports and submits monthly activity reports to PM.
· Completes monthly budget projections and tracks expenditures.
· Procures project equipment as needed and within authorization levels.
· Ensures active participation in partner events.
· Actively monitors security in project locations.

2. Team Management:
· Carries out performance appraisals for all direct staff.
· In charge of assessing training needs for the project.
· Safeguard the overall health, welfare and security of the project staff.

3. Networking, Representation and Partnership:
· Looks for synergies and opportunities to work and initiates | partnerships.
· Builds and maintains positive working relationships with Ministries of Foreign I Affairs, Education and other Ministries and partners.
· Ensures implementation of Memorandum of Understanding and agreements with local representation of Government, UN Agencies i and partner organizations.
· Actively facilitates participation of Athlete Supporters in project activities and i events.
4. Monitoring and Reporting:
· Visits project locations to oversee activities and events
· Collects accurate and timely information to report on performance outcomes.
· Works with school directors and teachers to develop their understanding of RTP’s M&E system.
· Sends regular reports to PM/PO and occasionally external stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, social sciences or other related discipline. Possession of a Master degree preferred.
· A minimum of five years’ experience in project administration
· Computer literacy skills
