Project Operations Officer – Catholic Relief Services

Job Summary:
The Project Operations Officer will keenly monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist project staff in their efforts to effectively plan and execute the project work plan.
Collect information on staff capacity needs and liaise with CRS country program staff to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
Ensure proper tracking of resources used for project activities through periodic budget reviews, follow- up with the procurement and administrative functions and overall assistance to the FASTER Grants Manager.
Support and coordinate capacity building and technical support to project staff and partners to ensure assigned project activities are implemented per project guidelines and standards.
Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
Help ensure project administrative systems and processes are in line with agency standards and donor and local law regulations.
Coordinate the provision of travel and logistics support and services to staff and visitors. Coordinate event planning activities, including global FASTER team visits, trainings and workshops.
Coordinate and report on activities and required resources to ensure cost efficient and quality service delivery.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Project Operations Officer job should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
At least four years of work experience in project support, ideally in the field of International Development and with USG funded programs required. Understanding of USG Rules and Regulations strongly preferred.
Degree and/or experience in Finance, Management, and/or Administration a plus.
Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment
Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely and collaborate with staff, partners and community members
Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
