Regional Coordinator for Global Water Partnership – Kampala – Nile Basin Initiative

Global water partnership East Africa (GWPEA) a Regional Water Partnership (RWP) within the GWP Network is hosted by the Nile Basin Initiative Secretariat (Nile-SEC) in Entebbe, Uganda. GWPEA Seeks to recruit a regional coordinator for its secretariat which has become vacant.

GWP Eastern Africa has been implementing various programs related to integrated water resources management (IWRM) and climate change adaptation for more than a decade. The region is expanding its program activities to contribute to the new and emerging global and regional challenges

SCOPE FOR THE POSITION
The Regional Co-ordinator (RC) is the head of the Regional Secretariat based in Entebbe and is accountable, inter alia:

To the Regional Steering Committee (RSC) and its Chairperson for the implementation of the Regional Work Programme, strategic direction and development and ensuring the support to the GWP Regional Water Partnership and the GWP Country Water Partnerships in the region to achieve their goals to attain water security
To GWPO for maintaining a close and effective relationship with GWPO in relation to planning, implementation, reporting, financial management, administration of the Regional Work Programme.
To the Host Institution for the performance of the host institution Agreement.
