Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAU) is the national professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by the Accountants Act. The Institute also has a mandate to conduct professional accountancy examinations in Uganda. The Institute is mandated to also:
Regulate and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in Uganda.
Prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants and practising accountants in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Relations Officer (Business Development) will be responsible for obtaining sponsorship for the Institute’s events, projects and products; branding; participate in developing and maintaining partnerships; and promotion of the Institute’s programmes and activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively participate in organising ICPAU’s events.
Manage the sponsorship and branding of the Institute’s events.
Render support in the preparation of contractual agreements for sponsors in accordance with ICPAU policy.
Produce follow-through literature to sponsors.
Assist in the promotion of the image of the Institute to all stakeholders.
Consistently update ICPAU management on the status of sponsorship activities.
Actively participate in the development of promotional materials.
Actively participate in the creation of partnerships as a promotional tool for the profession and the Institute.
Render support in the promotion of the Institute’s programmes and activities.
In charge of promoting the usage of ICT in reaching the Institute’s stakeholders.
Assist in the coordination of the organisation of meetings.
Actively participate in the preparation of the Institute’s plans and business proposals.
Conduct any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The Relations Officer (Business Development) should preferably hold a Bachelors’ degree. A postgraduate qualification in marketing or public relations is an added advantage.
A minimum of two years’ experience .
Managerial and supervisory skills;
Good negotiation skills
Good proposal and report writing skills
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and problem–solving skills.
Be creative, innovative and sensitive to quality.
Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written).
