Job Summary: The Relationship Officer will increase the ABC Bank’s revenue by cross selling Bank products to existing customers and acquiring new customers. The incumbent will acquire, grow and deepen customer relationships. He / she will be promoting institutions banking business by targeting mid corporates, and SME’s for business growth. Key focus will be on mid corporate companies, NGO’s, Churches, Legal firms, Education Institutions, Medical Practitioners, individuals and sole proprietorship concerns.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Enhancement of wallet share for every client.
Direct and through references, enhancement of business
The incumbent will enhance sales in all third party products for fee based earning
Market the Bank’s products and services on a daily basis to existing and prospective customers with emphasis on Loans and Overdrafts, Current and Savings Accounts and Fixed Deposits.
Responsible for identifying and developing new profitable business relationship.
In charge of planning and implementing campaigns for sales promotions
Generate business through local sales promotion: outdoor marketing calls on existing as well as potential customers.
Work in liaison with the Branch Heads and officer authorities in arranging for events /promotions for new acquisition of customers.
Build and strengthen working relationships with existing referral sources and cultivate new referral sources both internally and externally.
Achieve the Targets set in terms of product mix and customer segment.
Ensure the best in terms of quality of sales.
Derive insights to competitor Sales activities and effectively counter the efforts.
Regularly provide feedback to the Business Development Manager on the acceptance of the products in the market and suggest changes that could provide energy to the sales efforts.
Achieve maximum share of wallet for each customer acquired.
Keenly review credit applications for personal/ business loans before submission to the Credit Department.
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales call reports.
Prepare and submit weekly activity reports.
Preparing and implementing sales plan/activities to acquire, expand and retention profitable
Identifying and evaluating potential customers’ financial and service needs and recommend product/service offerings in liaison with Product Development Manager.
Ensure excellent customer service to existing customers.

Key Performance Indicators:
Growth in Balance Sheet and P&L of the Bank as per budget.
Growth in new customers and customer retention
Successfully opened accounts and closed accounts.
Zero customer complaints
100%complaince to KYC and AML policies and procedures.
Number of Customer referrals.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidates for the Relationship Officer jobs should hold University Degrees preferably in Marketing or Business Management
The person should have satisfactory proven experience and track record in banking / customer relationship management.
Excellent track record in sales and the delivery of business targets.
Working knowledge of operations, processes and credit.
Excellent communication skills both written and speaking
Good sales and negotiating skills
Team building and leadership skills
Customer Service skill
Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills
Proven planning, co‐ordination and time management skills
Computer literacy skills in word –processing, presentations and statistical analysis
Familiarity with KYC/AML compliance requirements
Well versed in the Banks products
Computer Literacy skills mandatory
