InterAid Uganda Limited (IAU) is a non-governmental humanitarian national organization established in 1988, and duly registered with the NGO Board and NGO Forum. IAU is actively involved in programs geared towards the protection and improvement of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and rural areas in Uganda and in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused on its thematic areas of Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food Security, Health (HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health), Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and good Management and Governance systems.
Job Summary: The Senior Community Services Officer will take lead in the planning, coordination and implementation of all project activities in the community services sector.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Education, Law or equivalent and/or training in Project Planning and Management.
Possession of a Master’s degree or a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, Development Management, Humanitarian Management, Public Administration, Disaster Management or relevant field is an added advantage
At least five years’ experience in implementing multi-sectorial programmes in socioeconomic development, humanitarian and disaster emergency sectors among others at a management level.
Demonstrated ability in meeting strict donor reporting deadlines and any other requirements
Proven report writing, team and project management experiences and skills
Strong demonstrated analytical, strategic thinking, advocacy and decision making.
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point and MS Project
