Job Summary: The Service Manager will achieve and exceed the business objectives and service standards of parts sales in the locations assigned

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasked with the development, implementation and achievement of annual budgets, business objectives and KPI’s
Achievement of sales, gross margin and net profit objectives
Management of productivity and efficiency performance
Planning and provision of workshop facilities, tools and equipment.
Ensure control of technical quality, Health and Safety.
In charge of the implementation of service marketing initiatives and related soft products including Service Agreements, Menu Pricing, Campaigns etc.
Serve as a key liaison and negotiation with Principals on Service issues.
Liaison with Sales personnel to ensure service functions are sufficiently prepared for new product introductions.
Maintaining regular contact with major customers
Exploring new service business opportunities for the division
Monitoring competitor activity
Leading and motivating staff to provide the highest quality of service product and customer support
Receipt and dissemination of Technical and product information from Principals
Work closely with the Training Manager, ensure competence planning and training delivery to meet business requirements.
Develop positive teamwork and effective communication between all divisional service locations.
In conjunction with Warranty Department, ensure all warranty-related procedures and KPI’s are reviewed and achieved.
Ensure Service Division receivables are maintained within Company guidelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Degree/ Diploma in Auto Engineering
At least five years’ experience with complete profit centre responsibility.
Profit centre management, Man management, Customer approach to problem solving, commercial acumen
Awareness of latest vehicle technology, good communication skills and leadership.
Leadership, Analytical, Planning, organising, Team Building, communication and application of new knowledge and new concepts.
PC skills, customer care, repair & trouble shooting of modern automobile, marketing workshop business.
Previous experience in automotive service environment.
Prior exposure and experience in customer facing operational management.
Experience working as a workshop manager, at a reputed car distributorship.
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient in MS Office Applications
Sound knowledge on handling Web Based Applications
Competent to handle SAP developments
Understands and guides complex repairs of modem cars.
Ability to achieve business & CSI objectives in a high pressure / stress environment.
Capability to lead a great team towards achievement of business and C SI objectives
Ability to analyse business performance, identify areas of potential and create operationally effective solutions.
Effective with high energy and motivation
Understanding of the latest technology of vehicles and how this impacts both the business and the customer
