Job Summary: The Social Franchise Coordinator will provide supportive supervision and mentoring of BlueStar providers to ensure these valuable providers are delivering the high quality of clinical services and client care expected of the network. The BlueStar network is a strategic channel for providing greater access to urban, peri-urban and underserved communities with unmet need and unmet demand for FP. Service delivery of voluntary family planning through BlueStar providers is a primary service delivery channel under the LTM Programme. The incumbent will also be responsible for identifying and taking prompt action to correct all performance issues and promote continuous learning among BlueStar providers in a selected geographical area. Performance will be measured by achieving and maintaining consistently high quality of services, equity of access and client care delivered by the BlueStar providers in her/his assigned area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide effective supportive supervision and mentoring to BlueStar providers to ensure sustainable achievement of quality of service delivery, equity of access, and exceptional client care:
Ensure the development of mentoring and support strategy for all BlueStar providers in geographic area using evidence based segmentation.
Regular supportive supervision and mentoring visits to BlueStar providers to ensure providers are delivering services and client care to MSI standards and services are responsive to client needs.
Ensure effective capacity building strategies are put in place to transition all BlueStar providers to high quality and highly productive FP service providers.
Identify and recruit new providers in geographic who meet BlueStar eligibility and want to join the network.
Work closely with Communications to develop highly effective demand creation strategies that address client and provider needs for specific geographies.
2. Effective work planning and clear performance management of BlueStar providers to ensure delivery of MSI Uganda quality standards and agreed donor deliverables
Ensure the development and achievement of appropriate service projections and performance deliverables set for geographic area.
Use provider performance dashboard to motivate quality and performance.
Ensure effective reporting of essential SF data for dashboards, SF client data, and voucher services by BlueStar providers.
Identify and support BlueStar Providers to correct any quality, compliance, operational or client care issues affecting service delivery to improve client outcomes
Technically support and deliver training to ensure consistency in the quality and performance across all social franchises
Effective voucher process implemented by BlueStar providers
3. Effective reporting, compliance and coordination:
Ensure the timely submission of monthly and quarterly work plans
Appropriate reconciliation of all advance and expenditures
Effective collaboration with other channels and teams to increase efficiency, value for money, and improved client outcomes

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should hold a relevant degree (medical/nursing/midwifery) is highly desirable and preferred)
Project cycle management training desirable
Working knowledge of clinical procedures and minimum standards essential
Past experience and knowledge of Ugandan health sector and community health service delivery
Demonstrated ability to mentor and train peers and professionals
Significant experience with vouchers and demand side financing approaches desirable
Excellent communicator
Excellent counselling clinical skills for LARCs and FP
Proficiency in more than one Ugandan language is desired
