About Us:
Mandela National Stadium often referred to as Namboole Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kampala, Uganda. It is currently used mostly for football matches, although other sports are also practiced. The stadium has a capacity of 40,202 people. The stadium was built with a grant of $36 million dollars from the People’s Republic of China. The 40,202 capacity sports complex was built with a $36m Chinese government grant and opened in 1997.

Job Summary: The Sports & Recreation Officer will develop, promote, support and coordinate sport and recreation programmes and services for the benefit of the Stadium clientele and community.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science
· Possession of a postgraduate training and or qualification in management will be an added advantage
· At least five years of related work experience, two of which should have been at similar level
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Good administration and organization skills; able to lead, motivate and supervise other people
· Good sports skills and expertise
· Team-work
