About Us:
Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities. UWA was established in 1996 and is managed in accordance with the Wildlife Act Cap 200. The Mission of UWA is: “To Conserve and Sustainably Manage the Wildlife and Protected Areas of Uganda in Partnership with Neighboring Communities and Other Stakeholders for the Benefit of the People of Uganda and the Global Community.”
Job Summary: The Warden Central Registry will primarily ensure effective management and functionality of the UWA Central Registry
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, register and classify records.
Open files for keeping information and closed when due.
The Warden will route files to officers responsible for action.
Periodically auditing user record systems to ensure a proper and functional data bank
The Warden Central Registry will be managing confidential records.
Managing outflow and inflow of files and other correspondences within the organization.
Tasked with retrieving records as and when required.
Archiving all UWA records and information.
In charge of scheduling disposal of unwanted records and information.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Warden Central Registry job opportunity must hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Archives and Records management or Library and Information Science from a recognized university.
A minimum of three years relevant working experience in electronic records management in a busy reputable organization.
Competency and skills in Records and Information Management;
Good ICT skills
Concern for quality and standards.
Time Management
Team Work
High degree of confidentiality
Age: Less than 35 years
