About US:
Epicentre is a non-government organization created by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in 1987 to help improve the quality of its field interventions. Since 1996, Epicentre has been a World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating centre for research in epidemiology and response to emerging diseases. Epicentre’s work hinges around three main activity areas: clinical research, field epidemiology and training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will manage the study with the central Principal Investigator
In charge of screening and enrolling patients into the study and manage them according to the study SOPs.
Work closely with the monitoring team to ensure completeness of the Trial master File and notification of SAE to the necessary authorities.
Work collaboratively with the pharmacy for the order and stock of treatment.
The incumbent will also be tasked with sending monthly activity reports to the central Principal Investigator and co-investigator.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Medical doctor with an advanced degree in Paediatrics and child health, Clinical experience in Infectious Diseases and/or Respiratory Medicine.
Additional training in Good Clinical Practice
The applicant must also hold active registration with the Uganda Medical and dental Practitioners’ Council (UMDPC)
Working knowledge of MS Office
Desirable field experience with MSF or other NGOs, research experience is an added advantage
