Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Nutrition Officer leads a team of Nutrition staff in South West to scale up and consolidate enrolment of children <5 years, pregnant and lactating Mothers into the various programs of OTC, ITC, TSFP and BSFP.
Ensures a strong linkage among these programs.
Offers technical oversight for the implementation of the various Nutrition programs and effectively guides the team of Nutritionists.
Assists the health workers and nutrition staff at various health facilities and established outreaches to manage acute malnutrition among children < 5 as per IMAM guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition & Dietetics. Background in Clinical Medicine & Community Health will be an added advantage.
A minimum of two years of progressive experience in the field of Nutrition.
Previous experience in implementing IMAM.
