Nurture Africa (NA) is a Non-Governmental Organisation operating in Wakiso, Hoima, Arua and Mubende Districts. NA is committed to contribute towards the health and development of the most vulnerable children in its areas of operation through high quality education, health care, Children’s rights and Sustainable livelihood programs enabling them to become positive influences in Ugandan society. Its primarily targets HIV infected and affected orphans and vulnerable children and works with their families holistically to enable sustainable change.
Job Summary: The Country Director’s major responsibilities shall involve working with the Board and staff to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction in compliance with the NA policies and strategic plan to fulfill its main objectives; shall take lead in mobilizing resources and effectively manage the Human Resource. He/she shall establish and maintain a high level of collaboration with all stakeholders and ensure a robust day to day
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree with a post graduate qualification in Leadership and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation;
A minimum of five or more years of senior management experience
The CD should possess strong advocacy, partnership and networking and resource mobilization experience
Possess the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders;
Working knowledge of national development and sectorial plans, legislation applicable to NGOs, high level of integrity and positive attitude.
Excellent track record of effectively leading a team of more than 30 staff.
