Programme Development Specialist – Bugolobi – Water Sanitation Hygiene

It’s hard to believe that today over 650 million people still don’t have clean, safe water and over 2.3 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.

WaterAid is looking for a Programme Development Specialist to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.

You will be required to design programmes and develop fundable proposals in three programmatic areas of Rural, Urban and Small Towns as part of our transition into next Country strategy

Key responsibilities
Provide technical expertise for design and development of innovative programmes that can add value to the attainment of WaterAid Uganda’s strategic aims and objectives, including development of the programme operating goals and objectives
Conduct analysis of the Rural, Urban and Small Towns sub-sectors, together with the WaterAid internal and external analyses to inform the development of fundable programmes and proposals.
Develop plans and strategies for identifying and generating funding and/or resource opportunities for the three programme activities
To be successful, you’ll need to have a bachelor’s degree or postgraduate level, preferably in a relevant discipline such as Development Studies. Minimum 8-10 years’ experience at senior leadership level in project planning and management.

By 2030 we want everyone, everywhere to have safe water and sanitation. We need you to help us make it happen. If you bring your expertise, passion and professionalism, we’ll give you a lot back.
