Tropical Bank Limited was established in 1973 under the name Libyan Arab Uganda Bank for Foreign Trade and Development. Tropical Bank Limited is jointly owned by the Governments of the Republic of Uganda 0.03% and the Libyan Foreign Bank (LFB) 99.97% of Paid-up Capital.
The Bank provides professional and personalized commercial banking services to various sectors of the economy including financial support to Parastatals, Corporates, Small and Medium Enterprises, Individuals, and Non-Governmental Organisations.

Job Summary: The Manager Sales will be in charge of planning and execution of the overall sales function of the bank in order to achieve agreed set sales targets and pro-actively provide excellent relationship management to our business and corporate customers in line with the set company objectives and global best practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Grow and develop a clean customer database in line with the company objectives and goals.
· Develop a well thought through quarterly and yearly sales strategic plans.
· Train, coach, and manage the sales teams on key selling points but also ensure that individual plans are achieved.
· Offer timely support to the branches in terms of sales and periodic visits to ensure all products are taken care of and also interact with customers.
· The incumbent will mobilize deposits for the entire bank through sales activities
· Ensure growth of NII
· Build positive working relationship among the team and other stake holders.
· Cross sell and retain both business and non-borrowing clients
· The incumbent will significantly contribute to the development and enhancement of Tropical Bank Limited (TBL)range of products.
· Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for the purpose of measuring growth against target.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that Tropical Bank Limited (TBL) maximizes its sales potential.
· Actively monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position through continuous feedback from the market.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidates for the Manager Sales vacancy should hold a graduate degree with a bias in business related field preferable
· At least five to seven years of professional experience in banking, three years should be in senior relationship management and Sales.
· Excellent track record in the field of Banking, customer acquisition and retention, as well as proven skills in all risk aspects of retail banking.
· Detailed knowledge and understanding of Electronic banking products
· Excellent Communication, inter personal and negotiation skills.
· Ability to influence solid working relationships with NGOs, Central & Local Government departments for strategic positioning of the company and partnerships with government.
· Exposure to customer service and the ability to handle conflicts and client complaints.
· Good leadership, Management and Business development skills to effectively plan and develop a cohesive sales strategy.
· Computer knowledge especially working with spread sheets, power point and word processor.
· Be a team player with ability to lead and work under minimum supervision.
· People management skills with the ability to influence others to deliver.
