Job Summary: The Sales Executive will have a mandate of achieving the set annual revenue targets for the through the development of new business as well as maintenance of existing business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· In charge of the development of a portfolio of accounts through new business development strategies, solicit and create awareness of the Sheraton Kampala Hotel and Sarova Hotels to the Ugandan public by introducing the company to new clients, prepare products to meet the diverse needs of the client, develop and maintain relationships with clients through networking, Job shadowing, set turnover targets and maintain them in line with set standards.
· Represent both Hotels to achieve the set annual revenue targets for the Hotel through the development of new business as well as maintenance of existing business for the Unit through planning, co-ordination and execution of all the unit sales actions set out for each market segment in the annual sales plan through activations, sales calls, exhibitions and trade shows.
· Send monthly Sales Department business plans identifying key objectives to be achieved.
· Update and produce the quarterly sales revenue forecast report on a bi-weekly basis.
· Render support in the development and maintenance of the different rate structures for the unit.
· Prepare a monthly sales report for discussion with the Group Sales Manager, giving recommendations for distribution to the Group Marketing Manager.
· Make sales presentations to various agents/clients as and when required.
· Recommend to the Sales Manager new sales avenues and opportunities for sales.
· Support the Sales Manager in any other duties relating to both Hotels and its subsidiaries that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Sales Executive should preferably hold a Bachelor’s (honors) Degree in Sales & Marketing or any other related field.
· At least five years’ experience within the hospitality industry.
· Ability to demonstrate visible leadership qualities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Excellent communication skills with strong business related knowledge.
· Highly self-motivated and ambitious in achieving goals.
· Possess the skills to work both in team and also perform independently.
· Capability of thriving in the competitive markets.
· The applicant must have strong man-managing skills, able to efficiently manage a team and liaise with other operations teams.
· Excellent customer services skills to deal day-to-day enquiries and cultivate relationships with future clients.
· Ability to work under pressure and efficiently within time constraints.
· Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient in Microsoft Office any other standard software related to Sales and Marketing.
Age: Between 27-38 years.
