International University of East Africa (IUEA) is a private university licensed by the Ugandan National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). IUEA main campus is located in Kansanga, Kampala, Uganda, and draws students from East Africa, and from the rest of the world. The International University of East Africa celebrates a multi-cultural atmosphere.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
In charge of the admission and enrolment of students.
Overseeing the promulgation, consistent application and compliance with policies relating to development, review and delivery of curricula.
Act as the official custodian and steward of student academic records, and coordinate services in the areas of course information, new semester registrations.
Ensure that students have met all requirements pertaining to coursework, credit requirements and fiscal responsibilities before inclusion in the graduation list and ceremony.
Ensure that policy matters and important decisions made by the Senate are communicated to all Students and Academic Staff, as may be appropriate, and that the Academic Calendar and the Academic Almanac are published and communicated to all students and staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicants must be holders of Masters Degrees in Academic related fields.
A minimum of ten years working experience (at least five as an Academic Registrar) with a high degree of success and knowledge of university operations at senior management level.
Broad working knowledge of records management, semester organisation and general University structuring.
