Job Summary: The Manager, Department of Planning, Investment and Resource Mobilisation is responsible for providing guidance to the strategic planning and development of the University.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Initiate and coordinate the preparation and production of long and short term corporate plans
Set budget priorities and assess the budget proposals for their coherence with the strategic goals of the University
Generate planning data/information/reports to support decision making by University Management
The incumbent will ensure that the University has a comprehensive and coherent resource mobilization strategy
Ensure that the University’s academic units adhere to enrolment ceilings
Initiate and coordinate organizational development activities
Ensure effective implementation of the University programs and projects
Ensure that the University has a national and international marketing strategy
Ensure that the University undertakes performance reporting to her stakeholders on time
Ensure that information flowing in from all administrative units is collate, processed, stored and redistributed to management in a form that guides quick decision making
Ensure that diagnostic studies are regularly carried out to enable the University have a picture of her internal and external efficiency and the level of access to her services and products
Ensure that the implementation of Donor funded projects is effectively coordinated
Keenly monitor the implementation of University programs to ensure that programs/projects are implemented according to plan
Work closely with key Government Authorities and Agencies to ensure proper execution of the University mandate in relation to the national development agenda
Supervise and coach subordinates in the department
Perform any other duties assigned by the University Bursar

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration or in any of the following fields: Economics, Commerce or Statistics
At least eight years of working experience, four of which should be at senior level in a reputable Organisation.
Computer literacy skills
Excellent analytical ability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Very good tactical and strategic planning skills
Ability to organize, including time management skills and the ability to complete tasks efficiently
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Team building and conflict management skills
Leadership skills
Age: Below 50 years
