JOB OVERVIEW
Supply Chain Coordinator is a key position to the success and delivery of quality programs. IRC defines Supply Chain as those systems and functions necessary to implement programs effectively, inclusive of planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, property and asset management as well as vehicle and fleet management. The Supply Chain Coordinator is accountable for the design, planning, execution and monitoring of supply chain activities at the country level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supply Chain Planning
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective supply chain planning to support program implementation. Supply chain planning includes; procurement plans, warehousing plans, transport plans, staffing plans, distribution plans and training plans.
2. Procurement Management
The Supply Chain Coordinator is accountable for developing country procurement strategies. The Supply Chain Coordinator ensures all country program procurement needs are met on time in accordance with GSC and donors’ standards.
3. Inventory Management
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing and controlling all inventory and warehouse operations in the country program and to ensure that there is precise record keeping, and implementing inventory standard operating procedures and control as provided by GSC.
4. Asset Management
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the procurement, maintenance, safe keeping and record for all IRC country program assets and equipment. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital and operations of asset, properties and attractive items management in accordance with IRC and donors rules and regulations.
5. Fleet Management
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordination of all IRC country fleet and transportation activities, ensure that all IRC fleet operations are conducted with adherence to IRC vehicle policies and procedures including vehicle and generator procurement, vehicle movement, maintenance and reporting accuracy.
6. Compliance and Ethics
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for identifying and analyzing compliance risk in supply chain processes, implementing strong procurement controls, identifying procurement red flags, implementing internal and external audit corrective action plans and ensuring all supply chain activities are conducted ethically.
7. Learning and Development:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible and accountable for overseeing all supply chain learning and development initiatives in country, assessing training needs, and developing training plans for supply chain staff.
8. Financial Management
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for preparing and submitting the monthly cash projection, developing and updating the spending plans as required and developing the operating budgets for the GSC department.

Key Working Relationships:
Position Reports to: Deputy Director for Operations
Position directly supervises: Procurement staff, asset and warehouse staff, transport staff.
Other Internal and/or external contacts:
Internal: Regular relationships with HQ, regional and country Supply Chain staff at all levels, Deputy Director of Operations, Country Directors, and interacts with IRC Program departments
External: May Serve as IRC Supply Chain representative in outside meetings, logistics clusters, other non-governmental organizations, inter-agency groups and foundations.
Requirements:
Education: College degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
Work Experience: 6-8 years of work experience in supply chain operations
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
• Demonstrated success as a Supply Chain leader across all disciplines within supply chain including planning, procurement and logistics
• Strong collaborator and influencer with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who is able to work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units
• Broad knowledge and experience in Supply Chain strategies, market analysis techniques, procurement and contracting, vehicle and fleet management, inventory, property and asset management
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills
• Excellent training and coaching ability
• Able to work effectively in a highly matrixed structure
